On Tuesday, July 16, Sean Williams, an Uber driver in Nassau County, NY, was was arrested and charged with two felony kidnapping counts, child endangerment, and unlawful imprisonment. The arrest stems from a 15-year-old girl in Nassau County who requested an Uber ride as she was leaving a sweet 16 party at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Friday, July 12.
It is alleged that when Williams picked her up in Atlantic Beach, he directed to sit in the front seat by the driver. According to the victim, Williams attempted to convince her to go to his Brooklyn home and out drinking, despite her protesting and telling Williams she was underage. The teen eventually managed to convince Williams that she needed to go to the bathroom. When Williams stopped at a McDonald’s, she entered the restaurant and called 911.
