On Tuesday, October, 8, Talyle Meaderds, a Lyft driver in Dallas County, TX, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault. He was already in custody when a woman told police he fit the description of a man who raped her in August.
According to the woman, Meaderds drove her to west Oak Cliff. He then allegedly forced the victim to perform various sex acts at gunpoint. Following the assault, the woman said Meaderds took her phone, ordered her out of his vehicle, and fired three gunshots as she ran away.
The woman learned police were investigating a similar attack that occurred only a week after she was assaulted. The police say that the case was similar to at least two other assaults, and that each victim identified Meaderds during a photo lineup.
