WNBC New York reports C Gacela rideshare driver Milton Paguada has been arrested and charged with rape, sex abuse, and forcible touching after sexually abusing two different women who paid him to drive them home. Police say that each woman was heading home from work when Paguada forcibly touched one and raped the other on the same street her where her home is located.
The reported rape happened on June 30 and involved a 28-year-old woman. The more recent incident happened on Saturday, September 10, when Paguada forcibly touched the 23-year-old woman in Copiague, Long Island.
Suffolk County police report that both women used the rideshare company C Gacela, which caters to mainly Hispanic clients and accepts only cash. C Gacela differentiates itself from mainstream rideshare companies by being a less expensive alternative. It is based out of Lindenhurst.
According to sources, Paguada of East Norwich offered the 28-year-old woman a massage before he started to rub her legs. Detective say that’s when he pulled his car over and raped the woman. According to the 23-year-old woman, Paguada also offered her a massage before pulling over his car and forcibly touching her.
Although Milton Paguada remains in custody on a $1 million bond, the full scope of his abuse is not known. It is possible that there are other survivors who have yet to come forward.
