St. Petersburg Florida area Uber driver Jose Antonio Canales Sanchez
The St. Petersburg Florida Police Department reports that St. Petersburg Uber Driver Jose Antonio Canales Sanchez has been arrested and charged with sexual battery and false imprisonment.
According to police, Canales Sanchez picked up a 32-year-old woman at 6:24 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023. Canales Sanchez then pulled over into a parking lot before reaching the woman’s destination. Once parked, Canales Sanchez allegedly entered the backseat of the vehicle where the woman was sitting and began undressing her against her will, and also began touching her private parts.
Fortunately, the woman was able to fight off Canales Sanchez and escape. The woman reported the incident to police, who were able to locate and arrest Canales Sanchez later in the afternoon on November 1st.
